About UNBOXING BRÂNCUȘI
A multi-year program dedicated to reinterpreting Brâncuși in dialogue with Man Ray and Mina Loy. Three categories — sculpture/installation, photo-video, and poetry — united under the roof of MARe.
About the program
UNBOXING BRÂNCUȘI is a multi-year cultural program, co-funded by AFCN and organized by MARe/museum of Recent Art. The program invites contemporary artists to reinterpret the artistic legacy of Constantin Brâncuși through three artistic directions: sculpture and installation (dialogue with Brâncuși), photo-video (dialogue with Man Ray), and poetry (dialogue with Mina Loy). Over 18 months, participants benefit from mentorship, production funding, and the opportunity to exhibit their work at MARe and partner venues.
